Marwan might be a big success now but it was not easy for him to get to that point in his career. So just how did he go on to become the chairman of AM Bank? Well, it all started when he was first born in Lebanon on February 14, 1968. He proved to have a knack for the world of finance ever since he was a kid & this is how he was able to get a full ride to Richmond University after he was done with high school. While there, he was not sure what he wanted to major in but decided on a dual focus on business administration as well as economics. After he got his bachelor’s, he went on to business school at Columbia at which point he pursued an mba. After he got it, he went on to create his own business known as bdl, a company that helps to give entrepreneurs the funds they need to thrive in their respective fields. He later went on to be the founder of the virgin megastores you can often see in Lebanon as well as saudi arabia. In the 90’s, he was on the board of the beirut stock exchange where he was one of the financial advisors to the chairman. He was able to be a lecturer at AUB for more than 20 years. In 2012, he was offered the chance to join the ACS board of trustees & opted to accept it. He was also the minister of state from the summer of 2011 to February of 2014. This is what inspired him to run for the role of parliament but he was not able to succeed in this. In the future, he hopes to keep doing well as he strives to improve the world.
